When you wear hearing aids for the first time it is normal that it takes a little time to get used to them. Remember that it is a gradual process and we will make adjustments from less to more until we adapt them to your needs. Please read the following tips carefully:

Adjustment can take time. Don’t expect instant improvement, give your brain time to get used to the new sounds.

The more time you spend wearing your hearing aids, the quicker you will get used to them. Try wearing them most of the day.

Start using your hearing aids in a quiet environment before tackling more complex or challenging places. Avoid very loud situations at first, as this can become overwhelming.

Pay attention to the different sounds and try to identify them. This will help you become accustomed to the variety of sounds you will hear.

Learn to observe people’s lips while they speak. This will help you better understand what is being said, especially in noisy environments.

The skin of the ear canal is very sensitive and you may experience some itching during the first few days. Therefore, if you need to rest, do so, hydrate the area or massage until the sensation subsides, it usually disappears after a few days.

Follow the cleaning and maintenance instructions to ensure that they work properly. If you have doubts, I will explain how to take care of them.

Communicate your needs to the people with whom you interact. For example, if you need them to talk slower or louder. Don’t suffer in silence, if you experience any difficulties or discomfort, don’t hesitate to call me. I’m here to help.

When you wear hearing aids for the first time it is normal that it takes a little time to get used to them.
